Observance of Shaheed Dibosh and International Mother Language Day 2026 SWID Bangladesh observed Amar Ekushey with profound respect and a series of commemorative programs. The day began with a special prayer (Dua) seeking eternal peace for the souls of the language martyrs. Following the solemn tradition, the National Flag and the SWID Flag were hoisted at half-mast to the melody of the National Anthem. The tribute continued with the laying of wreaths at the Shaheed Minar, followed by a vibrant cultural program and a discussion meeting. The event was enriched by the presence and speeches of the following distinguished leaders: Mr. Jubaidur Rahman Milon, 1st Vice-President, SWID Bangladesh. Mr. Md. Mahbubul Munir, Secretary General, SWID Bangladesh. Mr. Azharul Azad Jewel, Sports Secretary, SWID Bangladesh. Mr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Principal, SWID Special Education Teacher Training College. Ms. Shimmy Samad, Head Teacher, SWID Laboratory Model School. Ms. Masuda Khanom Kona, Head Teacher, SWID Vocational Training School. Ms. Suraiya Khanom Panna, Head Teacher, SWID Bangladesh Mohammadpur Branch. The overall activities, valuable advice, and guidance for the program were provided by the honorable Mentor of SWID Bangladesh, Mr. Jawaherul Islam Mamun.
