Akhtar Hossain, the respected Education and Research Secretary of SWID Bangladesh, has been honored with a special accolade and award at the state ceremony of the "19th World Autism Awareness Day-2026." [1]The Chief Guest, Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Professor Dr. Abu Zafer Md. Zahid Hossain, MP, handed over this glorious award at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, in an event organized by the Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trust.Embodying this year's theme—"Autism is not a limitation, every life is valuable"—Professor Md. Akhtar Hossain has been working tirelessly for a long time to integrate autistic individuals, including his own child, into the mainstream of society.
